Use wood floor cleaning products made specifically for wood flooring such as Bona, or Poly Care to avoid streaks or cloudy films on your wood flooring.

Periodically sweep your floor with a soft bristle broom or vacuum with a protected attachment to remove dirt and grit. After sweeping, lightly mist the cloth cover of a swivel mop from your cleaning kit with hardwood floor cleaner and clean one small area at a time, replace cloth covers as necessary to avoid streaking. Wipe up spills as soon as they occur with a damp clean cloth and then apply wood floor cleaner.
